Challah French Toast with Fresh Raspberries

There’s something wonderfully indulgent about a slow weekend morning, especially when breakfast arrives golden, fluffy, and crowned with jewel-like fresh raspberries.
This Challah French Toast begins with thick slices of pillowy challah, picked up fresh from the farmers market along with a basket of beautiful, ruby-red raspberries. The challah soaks up the egg mixture beautifully, creating that irresistible combination of crisp, golden edges and a soft, custardy center.
Then comes the fun part—a generous scattering of fresh raspberries that adds a burst of natural sweetness, vibrant color, and just the right touch of tartness.
Raspberries may look like little jewels, but they are nutritional powerhouses, providing fiber, vitamin C, manganese, and an abundance of antioxidant-rich plant compounds.
The eggs add satisfying protein along with important nutrients such as choline and vitamin B12, giving this indulgent breakfast a little nutritional balance.
Rather than saturating the toast with traditional syrup, I prefer a light drizzle of sugar-free syrup, letting the natural sweetness of the berries shine through. A delicate dusting of powdered sugar finishes everything with a touch of old-fashioned breakfast charm—because sometimes a little sweetness is exactly what the morning ordered.
For an even more nourishing plate, add a dollop of Greek yogurt or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for extra protein, calcium, and healthy fats.
The beauty of this breakfast is that it feels decadent without requiring a mountain of ingredients or a complicated recipe. It’s warm, fruity, fluffy, and just a little bit mischievous—the perfect excuse to linger over your coffee and forget the clock for a while. After all, weekends are meant for savoring the little things, and a plate of golden Challah French Toast with fresh raspberries is a pretty delicious place to start. Enjoy!
