You may not always have much time to prepare something healthy, but if you have 5 minutes, you can have a healthy meal or snack. It’s that fast!
I love making smoothies because you can add just about anything into them and take it on the go. Today, I made mine with fresh strawberries, banana and for my protein, a spoonful of smooth peanut butter. If you have any type of nut allergies you may substitute with a protein powder or sunflower butter. This smoothie provides vitamin C, vitamin D, protein, calcium and most importantly, great taste.
So do yourself a favor and take 5- to make it a healthier day! Enjoy!
Strawberry Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie
Ingredients: Serves 1
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 medium banana, sliced
- 1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
- ½ cup milk (I used 2%, but you can use whatever you prefer)
Preparation:
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, about 1 minute.
