Kiwi Cucumber Smoothie

No time to prepare a healthy meal in the morning? Now, now, don’t be so pessimistic. You can make this healthy, and tasty smoothie in less than 10 minutes and take it on the go! You can even prepare this the night before if you are really pressed for time in the morning, as most of us are. So quit making excuses!!!

Kiwi is a lovely tropical fruit. A bit tart but also sweet. Blended with some sweet and full of potassium bananas, the  flavors really balance each other very nicely. The spinach will provide the iron for a stable energy that you need without the sugar. So no yawning here.

Kiwi is such a cute and sexy fruit. It reminds me of an exotic beach (someplace I wish I was now). Not only is it a pretty fruit but it provides so many wonderful nutrients that you’ll want to include it in your weekly diet. Because of the high potassium kiwi contains, it helps manage high blood pressure by counteracting the effects of sodium. Kiwi’s high vitamin C content along with other antioxidant compounds has been proven to boost the immune system. Plus, vitamin C is great for your skin! So eat up and go!

Kiwi Smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 4 ripe kiwis
  • 1 7 ounce cucumber, washed and skin left on
  • 1 large banana
  • 3 handfuls of fresh baby spinach

Preparation:

Cut the kiwis, cucumbers and bananas into small pieces. Place them into a blender with the spinach and blend until smooth. Pour into a bottle and serve.
