If you are in the mood for something sweet and savory on one plate, here it is! No sugar added, just the natural sugar from a beautiful pear.
This combination of flavors balance each other very well. You get sweet and savory all in one bite. No heavy seasonings, just some salt and pepper on the chicken. I also added some shaved Parmesan Reggiano cheese in the salad for that added salty flavor, and also because I love cheese!
While I sauteed the chicken in a little bit of olive oil, I sliced up 1/2 of a pear and allowed it to cook with the chicken. This brings out the sweetness and also softens the pear. For some added color and flavor I tore some radicchio and for the last two minutes of cooking I added it into the pan. Right before it was all done I also added some vegetable broth to moisten the chicken and pears and it just created this wonderful flavor. No need for any salad dressing. A very simple, quick and healthy meal to enjoy!
