Grass Fed, Organic Burger

I enjoy eating beef on occasion, especially  when it’s in the form of a cheeseburger, Who says eating beef cannot be healthy? This is organic, grass fed beef. The ONLY type anyone should be eating. Why? Well it is not only  low in saturated fat, NO SUGAR (the real killer), high in protein, iron, Omega-3, Vitamin E, and B vitamins, it’s the way beef was intended to be consumed.

By not eating organic, grass fed beef you are purchasing what many large-scale dairy farmers and feedlot operators  feed their cows “by-product feedstuffs” in order to save money. In general, this means waste products from the manufacture of human food. In particular, it can mean sterilized city garbage, candy, bubble gum, floor sweepings from plants that manufacture animal food, bakery, potato wastes or a scientific blend of pasta and candy. Now, doesn’t that sound appetizing? But that’s what these other cows are being fed and in turn we consume.

I believe that we have a responsibility to ourselves and the people we take care of to educate ourselves about healthy food. But sometimes that becomes very difficult especially when there is so much “corporate” garbage being dumped out there for their profit.

I believe that reading labels, eating non GMO (genetically modified organisms) foods, purchasing locally grown organic fruits and vegetables are the healthiest way to eat. It’s all about the getting back to basics, “Nothing out of a box-Nothing out of a can” Because, when was the last time you picked a box or can off a tree?

Thank you for sharing the blog – Many people are always asking about what is the “big fuss” over “grass fed” when it comes to meat (beef), eggs and dairy. The big fuss is about choosing a better quality of meat that is more in line with what our bodies were designed to use. Little do many really know there is a big difference between a nice bison (grass fed) burger and a Big Mac.
