Rose Tea
Chamomile Tea
Recently, I attended a “Holistic Bazaar” in Brooklyn, hosted by my friend and founder, Naini Nakagawa, of http://www.matchmyspirit.com
There were vendors showcasing and demonstrating their holistic businesses, everything from Reiki, massages, essential oils to one of my favorite, organic teas.
I have always enjoyed drinking tea. Ever since I was a little girl, my grandmother would prepare tea, specifically Chamomile, for me and my brother. This delectable, fruity tasting tea has so many benefits. Chamomile tea, a derivative of chamomile flower, has been found to contain fairly strong antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory constituents. It is effective in treating stomach and intestinal cramps, also aids with menstrual cramps, insomnia and migraine headaches. It can also be used as a final rinse for your hair to add lustre and shine!
Another tea that I have become very fond of is Rose tea. It has this ever so slightly floral scent and taste that is simply beautiful. It is a popular herbal, health tea which contains vitamins C, D, K and E which help build a strong immune system and strengthen the digestive system. It also aids in detoxifying the kidneys and urinary tract. Rose hips, much like chamomile is used for stomach disorders including stomach spasms, stomach irritations and ulcers and for intestinal diseases.
While I was walking around the bazaar I came across a company, www.teanspirit.com that sells some of these organic, herbal teas and I was very curious to try their rose tea. I have to say, it was delicious and very comforting. I allowed myself time to drink the tea, allowing the rose buds to steep, intensifying the flavor. It was sad to see once it was all gone.
I ask that you check out their website www.teanspirit.com and www.koreanteameditation.com. to learn more about their organic teas and let me know how you enjoyed them.
Please note, that if you’re on any medication or pregnant, you should first consult with your health care provider before trying any remedy.
As always, enjoy!
