Prosciutto Wrapped Pears Filled with Parmesan Reggianno Cheese

This is a very beautiful anytime snack to serve when you are in the mood for something sweet and savory. These beautiful, sweet pears become sweeter when baked and are a compliment with with salty prosciutto and delicate parmesan reggianno cheese. I topped them with some fresh rosemary for that woodsy taste that goes so well with these flavors.

This is so quick and easy to prepare. It’s great for an after school snack, evening snack or a cocktail party hors d’oeuvres. You can even get your children involved in making these. Just preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking pan with  some aluminum foil. Take a pear and slice it in half length wise. Remove the seeds. Then slice it in half again. Slice 4 slices of parmesan reggianno cheese and place 1 slice in the center of each pear piece. Take a slice of the prosciutto and fold it in half, length wise. Wrap the pear with the prosciutto and lay it seam side down in the pan. Top each piece with a sprig of fresh rosemary and drizzle with some olive oil. Place in the preheated oven for 12 minutes and, Enjoy!
