Wasabi Sesame Seared Salmon with Watercress Salad
Restaurant style food from your kitchen in less than 15 minutes! Make this tasty and with a little kick to it wasabi sesame seared salmon. Serve it with some beautiful watercress salad and organic jasmine rice.
To make the sesame wasabi stick to the salmon I spread a thin coat of creamy horseradish . You can substitute some olive oil instead if you do not want all of that spiciness.
I enjoy using different greens with my meals and wanted to keep it simple and super healthy.
Watercress is full of vitamin C, B1, B6, K, E, calcium and iron! Just drizzle some fresh lemon juice and enjoy!
Wasabi Sesame Seared Salmon
Ingredients:
1 6 ounce fillet of salmon
salt to season
1 teaspoon creamy horseradish
1 tablespoon wasabi sesame (food in Asian markets)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Heat the olive oil in a skillet until very hot. In the meantime season the salmon with the salt. Spread the creamy horseradish on 1 side of the fish (skin side if you bought with the skin)and add the sesame seeds, pressing them onto the fish.
Carefully place the fish, sesame coated down into the skillet and cook for 3 minutes. DO NOT move the fish.
Turn the fish over and cook an additional 2 minutes for medium rare.
Remove and allow to rest for a few minutes. Serve with rice and watercress salad. Enjoy!
