Shrimp with Fennel and Heirloom Tomatoes served with Garlic Bread

Shrimp with Fennel and Heirloom Tomatoes served with Garlic Bread

Shrimp is so delicious and so quick and easy to prepare. Tonight I decided to make a very light but full of flavor dish that is also full of vitamins and nutrients too. The second best part is that this takes from start of prep time to actually sitting down to eat less than 30 minutes!

Shrimp is loaded with vitamin B3, vitamin D and zinc. It is also a great, carbohydrate-free food for the person who is looking to lose some weight! It is also loaded with protein which is excellent for your muscles.

Fennel nourishes our body in many ways, but what I really love is the flavor. It has a licorice scent, although once it is cooked that turns to a very sweet flavor. Fennel is also great for your heart, it helps lower cholesterol and high blood pressure.

The heirloom tomatoes are packed with vitamin C and that helps nourish the adrenal glands and reduce stress. They are also rich in potassium, which helps lower blood pressure. Heirloom tomatoes are also a great source of vitamin K which is necessary for healthy, strong bones.

I served this with some tasty garlic bread that I browned on the stove. No need to turn the oven on when it’s hot outside. Just take a non-stick skillet and heat to hot. Cut the bread diagonally and lightly brush with some olive oil. Place on hot skittel and allow to brown for about 8 minutes. Remove and rub some fresh garlic over the bread.

So, if you’d like the recipe, please blog your request and then after you make it, let me know how you enjoyed it!
