Salmon in a white wine and caper sauce

Salmon Prepared in a White Wine and Caper Sauce
I have to say, I absolutely love fish! All types,  in whole and fillet form. But salmon is one of my favorite fish because of all the great nutritional value it feeds our bodies.
Salmon is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, the good fat which plays a vital role in keeping our hearts healthy. And we all want and need a healthy heart for longevity. Salmon is also rich in calcium, iron, selenium, vitamins A,B and D and it also helps reduce our blood pressure.
So I say give it a try and try to prepare it in different ways. It’s so quick and easy to do. I prepared tonight’s salmon in a white wine and caper sauce. It’s so easy and quick, less than 30 minutes from start to finish, and that’s including the prep work! To keep it more healthy I prepared some green beans and served the salmon on top.
Let me know your thoughts and if you would like the recipe.

  1. What temp and for how long? When will I know when it's done? It looks amazing!

  2. I cooked it on the stove in a skillet over medium/low heat for 3 minutes first side and 2 minutes on the flip side for a medium/rare finish. This was a 4 ounce piece. If you have a larger piece, say 6-8 ounces then add 1 additional minute per side. Remember, once you place it in your pan, DO NOT lift or move it around, or it will not get that beautiful seared crust. If you prefer a medium/well piece add an additional minute to each side.Thank you for the comment and enjoy! Let me know how your salmon turns out!

  3. I would like the recipe, Yvette! It looks delicious.
